Estimate of the Genome Size by Renaturation Studies in Streptomyces

ABSTRACT

The genome sizes of Streptomyces coelicolor and Streptomyces rimosus as calculated by deoxyribonucleic acid reassociation kinetics are approximately 10.5 x 106 nucleotide pairs.
