Modified lysine iron agar for isolation of Salmonella from food.

ABSTRACT

Lysine iron agar, modified by the addition of bile salts, novobiocin, lactose, and sucrose, is a valuable plating medium for the isolation of Salmonella, including H2S-negative strains.
