ABSTRACT
Microbacterium thermosphactum requires cysteine,
-lipoate, nicotinate, pantothenate, p-aminobenzoate, biotin, and thiamin for aerobic growth in glucose-mineral salts medium. Glucose cannot be replaced by Casamino Acids or acids of the tricarboxylic acid cycle as sole carbon and energy sources. The organism can also grow anaerobically in the minimal synthetic medium.
