A triphenyltin (TPT)-decomposing strain, Pseudomonas aeruginosa CGMCC 1.860, was screened out. It secreted an unknown TPT-decomposing factor into the medium, later shown to be pyochelin, even in the presence of 100 µM iron. To our knowledge, this is the first report of organotin decomposition by pyochelin.
