Volume 74, no. 13, p. 3996-4004. Page 3998, column 1, line 12 from the bottom: "(JCM1217, JCM1222, and JCM7054)" should read "(JCM1217 and JCM7054)." We have recently found that our laboratory stock of strain JCM1222 was contaminated. Reexamination of a redistributed JCM1222 strain revealed that the strain does not show lacto-N-biosidase activity.

Page 3998, column 2: In Table 1, the LNB-releasing activity value for Bifidobacterium longum JCM1222 (row 13) should be "-" (not detected).
