All the strains can utilize glucose, lactose, maltose, mannose, raffinose, sucrose, and xylose. All strains do not ferment glycerol, mannitol, and sorbitol. All strains are positive for α-galactosidase, β-galactosidase, α-glucosidase, N-acetyl-β-glucosaminidase, glutamic acid decarboxylase, alkaline phosphatase, leucyl glycine arylamidase, alanine arylamidase, and glutamyl glutamic acid arylamidase. All strains are negative for urease, reduction of nitrates, proline arylamidase, tyrosine arylamidase, and serine arylamidase. +, positive; −, negative; +/−, most strains positive; −/+, most strains negative.
